About Us
Stephan is from Quebec, Canada, while Joy is from a small town in Pennsylvania. The two met through their shared passion for music, while touring with a drum and bugle corp. They married in 1994 and embarked on a journey that would be filled with both profound joy and deep sorrow.
They welcomed two biological children into their family, but their lives were forever changed by the heartbreaking loss of their son, Jacob. In the wake of this tragedy, they found the strength and compassion to open their hearts to children in need of a loving home. This decision led them to adopt eight children, significantly expanding their family.
Through their experiences, they witnessed the great need within the foster and adoption community. While they couldn’t adopt every child in need, they were determined to make a broader impact. This commitment led them to launch Foster Hope, where they work to support and enrich the lives of children in the local foster system.
Their journey is a testament to their resilience, love, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
